Isn’t She Beautiful | Thoughts
It was a great conference. Megan and I both said we came away feeling refreshed and renewed instead of the overwhelmed feeling we often get from conferences.
It was great to see Rob Bell in a very real way. He was very honest and down to earth and it was cool to see some of the behind the scenes of how he works.
If you own an Apple laptop you have an instant conversation starter and connection with other people that use Apple computers.
I am inspired to dig deeper into the Scriptures. I have more questions than answers. But I have the start of many conversations I want to have.
I want to be a better conversation starter . I want to have more questions.
I understand why I sometimes feel so incredibly drained after intense ministry. I love the imagery of the church being a eucharist for the world.
I want to build in healthy rhythems of rest to my schedule now while I’m still young. I want to start well and not burn out in a few years. What is sustainable? I’m not sure that my pace right now is sustainable.
I will be wrestling with how I balance being on staff with volunteering in other areas.
I never want to lose sight of how beautiful the church is.

dave, great recap. i was there too (maybe we sat near each other). if you find anyone who recorded anything, i’d be interested in hearing it. i took notes as well, but our notes are very similar so i don’t think they’d be of much help as far as a different perspective. nice blog too, by the way.
brad:)
Hey Dave, I was at the conference too. I enjoyed it as much as you did. Did you record it? Because I would be interested in getting the recording from you. Let me know
Sorry Tony, I don’t have any audio recordings unfortunately.
Sounds like the conference was awesome. Thanks for the notes, I’m looking forward to spending some time reading over them.
