Evangelist Challenges Atheists to Bible-Less Debate
Ray Comfort, author of God Doesn’t Believe in Atheists, alongside fellow Christian and actor Kirk Cameron (Growing Pains) will butt heads with two ardent nonbelievers using only scientific fact in a debate sponsored by ABC. Comfort says that the evidence will “absolutely” confirm that there is a God, and he will not speak about his faith.
This is one of those things that makes me want to stop referring to myself as a Christian because I don’t want to be associated with things like this. I hate that this kind of junk is what non-Christians see and then think that Christianity is about. Maybe a better way for Mr. Comfort to “absolutely confirm that there is a God” would be to shut-up and start serving people around him instead of being cocky enough to try and prove God exists.

good point!
I just posted some comments on my site. Not only is it sad that Mike Seaver would be seen as the leading spokesperson for my faith, but their approach is flawed. I think that it is a strategic error to assume you can prove the existence of God without the Bible.
The Kalam Cosmological argument. Anything that begins to exist has a cause. The universe began to exist (scientifically proven). Therefore, the universe has a cause.
I came across your blog and it is quite interesting. Just because some people are intellectually wired in their faith does not mean that they don’t serve others as Jesus did.
Have a great day!
